Once upon a time there was a Scream Queen...Meet Dana Lewis Liz Lavoie, a famous B Horror movie actress tired of playing baby sitters and cheerleaders in straight to video movies. Dana dreams of being a serious actress and thinks her luck may be improving when she's offered the starring role in an independent film.However, when Dana arrives on the movie set in the desert, she discovers her big break is actually a huge ordeal. The director, Jason Alves Nipper Knapp, is an obsessed fan and the cast and crew is a group of local weirdos. Under contract, Dana is forced to act in the movie and face her secret fear that she has no talent. Thanks to Jason's respect for her, Dana discovers she is a good actress and the couple falls in love.Back in Los Angeles, Dana is cast in a big, studio picture, but success has its price. In her thirst for stardom, Dana lets Jason down and loses him. Realizing her mistake, Dana uses her new found self respect to clean up her life and get her man back!And of course, they live happily ever after.
